Wow, what a night!... a virgin bloody mary please

The Y is sure getting ready for the holidays. The whole main area is lit up with Christmas lights, the trees, building, and light posts. And one of the trees just outside my dorm. With the moon out and getting full it lit up the tops of the snow covered mountains.

Absolutely breathe taking and it felt like I was in winter wonderland.

They'll of course be having a Thanksgiving feast tomorrow and we'll have several families vacating.

Yes I do all my baking, salads, nibbles and prep work the day before so tomorrow I just cook, eat, drink wine, watch football and enjoy!

Got a lot to do today starting with cleaning then a doctors appointment. I'll be going to my sister's and to a good friend's tomorrow.

I could do without the doctor's appointment as well. Just a routine check up, but it's right smack in the middle of the day at 1:00.

Just cooking for parents this year, I've already checked with all my fave elderlies and made sure everyone has plans

That's nice KitKat, it makes it more like a holiday when you have family and/or friends to share it with.

I'll be working so will have lots of people around.

It gets a little melancholy for me on this particular holiday. There used to be 15-20 of us at my sister's or my house every year. This year there will be 4... All the parents and my oldest sister are gone. The children, with the exception of one nephew, are scattered all over the globe.

I'm not even sure why my sis bothers any more.

I'll talk to all my family and there's generally a ton of texting, as my daughters are all great cooks but they always want to know how I made such and such or they forgot to buy something and need to know what they can use instead we joke I'm the Google for Thanksgiving dinner
