C.E.O.'s are responsible for out sourcing of American jobs. C.E.O.'S are responsible for AMERICAN'S having to pay for this 700 billion to 2 trillion dollar bail out. It all starts at the top people. C.E.O'S are responsible for American's paying more and more for their health care plans. We have gone through recessions before and the world did not end. I'd rather we help the PEOPLE of the United States of America then help a bunch of bankers and loan sharks get out of trouble with (OUR) money. These SCUMBAGS!!!! should be put in prison and their bank accounts , on shore and off shore, should be confiscated. If you or I committed fraud we would be in prison...why are they better than you and me? They knew exactly what they were doing and now they are going to have us bail their crooked Ass's out. IT's WRONG WRONG WRONG!!!! |

Not that I disagree with the problematic CEO issue, but I heard an interesting little talk about the fact that every other person in America is just the same as Wall Street...we buy what we can't afford, use credit we shouldn't use, purchase houses we wouldn't qualify for without one of those horrible ARMs, don't save money, etc.
Not that EVERYONE behaves this way, obviously, but I'd venture to say that 90% of our population does. So if we bail out Wall Street to the tune of $700B will it really get any better??? We don't have a CLUE how to handle money, apparently! |

In my way of thinking, it's only going to broaden the gap between the wealthy and the poor. Middle class is going to disappear if something isn't done.

I'm there with ya...I've worked my a$$ off to make ends meet, raise 2 kids alone, provide college, etc... Do you think we really HAVE a middle class anymore? I think that's already an illusion... but even of those of us who work hard - most can't handle money and live on credit. We need to figure out what we really NEED vs what we WANT and what helps us "keep up with the Jones'" |

You mean there isn't already a recession? No, in order to have a recession our economy has to show 3 or 4 quarters of negative growth, I think… in order for us to be "officially” in a recession. The economy has not shown this....yet. |

Yes well only because it's an election year are they doing anything. We have to hold their feet to the fire AFTER the elections are over.
There was a time when I was so politically active...as a civilian. After the NAFTER & GATT battle I was done. Well now all that the politicians did is coming back to bite them ALL in the butt. Yet we were the ones called isolationists etc etc for warning them ALL. Including DEMS... (sigh) I don't think we should be paying for THEIR mistakes. |
