Think of all the posts that start out as a topic, and degrade to either
a post of opinion, without actural personal interaction, who even cares
if anyone acturally reads the opinoin you gave, or degrades to a
senseless passtime without any communcation of who anyone really is.

Now, if we were in real-time chat rooms, a party line so to speak, would
the posts referred to still take place and if they did, would they
continue on as long as the posts do here?

Curious, just wondering if everyone acturally related in real life the
way some seem to here? Might be a reason WHY some are here?????

Seems like a good point. I mean if you can't get along with someone on
the net how the hell can you get along with someone for real.

Redy, I have little experience with chatrooms, but from what I have
seen, it was a chaotic mishmosh of people steeping on and over each
other and nothing much ever getting accomplished. People randomly
entering and leaving the room, everything put on hold while 17 people
say hi to whoever just showed up, that sort of thing. Maybe it's not
like that everywhere, I don't know. From what I saw, it would appear
that a chatroom, above a certain number of participants, would become
awkward and congested.

The whole posting thing, for all the inherent problems, does at least
offer the benefit of a more or less linear structure. Yes, topics drift
and change and get totally away from the subject, but that's how it is
in real life conversations, too. And because it's not as immediate-real
time as a chatroom, you can look at all of the posts at your leisure and
respond likewise.

I've been in chatrooms, I prefer smallones to big ones, and I rather
enjoy the posts here, much more personal than chat can be

But i prefer posts because of my low free time.
So posts more comfortable 2 me, becayse i dont need 2 online often, but
can answer when i have free time 4 it.
