Paintbrush

I take my paintbrush with me
wherever I may go
In case I need a cover up
so the real me doesn't show
What these paint layers cover
is the pain I hide inside
They can be pealed away only
by a friend whom I confide
Only then will I feel free to peal
the many layers nice and slow
And if you still accept me
then you truely are a friend of gold
Since I have met you, this paintbrush
I've decided to throw away
Only because I have come to know
that you, my friend are here to stay

uhhm ive seen many versions of this poem posted online...

um actually you haven't...there are many paintbrush poems out there but this is mine. we had a discussion at work today about how people wear masks and my supervisor said something about most people just carry paintbrushes...and that first line is his...i just added from there.
