I still do not understand why such a hubbub over a debate.
Have you lost your home lately? Perhaps a neigbor or friend? If you had you wouldn't be worring about no JAWIN contest when there is work to be done. You wouldn't be able to see the debate anyway... No TV mor'n likely. The only debate I want to see right now is the one goin on up there on the hill. As far as JAWIN over who got the bigger set of 'ideas' about something... I don't really care. Get 'R Done up there on the hill... Or some of you that make your living feeding at the public trough gonin be finding your self in the soup lines. |

You know, there is a real possibility that the election could be postponed. A massive economic crisis, with runs on banks and shortages of food and a panicking population would be enough to declare a national emergency. Then the real trouble would start. No other president has done more to prepare for Martial Law than this one. PDD 51 is particularly scary. |

Had the congress, administrative agencies and the executive branch been doing it's job and exercising oversight we would not be in this jam.
Like I said in an earlier post a president has to handle multiple issues at the same time. Is McCain so badly prepared for a debate that he cannot appear without several days of rehearsal? He should be able to leave the senate floor at the close of business and walk into a studio, sit down and debate the issues. |

OBAMA can't be blamed for anything since he's done NOTHING! LOL I don't think I would vote for someone as green as OBAMA. He is too inexperienced for the position of prez. It's irresponsible in such times as these. |

McCain has not postponed his campaign. He has only said he is. It is impossible to stop your campaign at this point in the race. Anything he does is for his political gain. The proof of that is right here in this thread. People are championing him for putting his race on hold... but the fact you are cheering him says it has never stopped, the fact he keeps making statements to the media, the fact that hours after saying he was hitting the pause button he was on ABC News with Katie Curic (SP), The Fact he only showed up on the Hill after a deal had already been struck by other senators.
What we all need to understand is the politics is a chess game. Any move made, even a move backwards, is for the advancement of the main goal... win the election. this isnt a digg at McCain for doing what he did... in chess you play to win, simple... but if you cant see what he is doing then there is a problem. |

Well actually many people think McCain does what he does for love of country & not always what is self serving politically. He's been proving that over & over. if you hired a lawyer to do work for you and they kept putting of the work to try and get other clients how long would you keep them as your lawyer
obama is derelict in his duties he was hired to do and thinks getting a new job is more important i wonder if he will be out getting paid to make speeches rather than doing presidential duties if he gets elected |
