I POSTED THIS ON ANOTHER SITE AND ONLY 3 PEOPLE ACTUALLY READ IT. IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ME- HERE IS AN EXCELLENT CHANCE...
New lines painted freshly on the road. Listening to the gurgle of the water in the canal by my house when it's quiet at night. Unexpected rainbows in puddles of car oil. Seeing elderly couples holding hands. Blowing bubbles. Pinwheels when they spin. Hearing wind chimes faintly on a warm summers day. Listening to a song I have never heard before and falling completely in love with it. Bands who acknowledge their fans personally. The first lightening storm of summer. Finding tadpoles in puddles and watching them turn into frogs. Catching lizards. The first cup of coffee in the morning. Messages in my inbox. Knowing the answer to the trivia question on the radio. Orange juice with ice. Ice in general. Finding things out about animals that I didn't know. Hearing stories about peoples lives. Petting and holding animals in pet stores. Watching people from a distance and making up conversations for them. Finding a penny on the ground. Opening a brand new book and hearing the spine crack for the first time. Finding something unusual at a yard sale or flea market. Making up phrases for the letters on license plates. Feeding praying mantises sugar water. Having hummingbirds land on my fingers. Completing a painting. Finishing writing a story. Finding funny pictures on the internet. Knowing a sunset will be different every time. Storm clouds. Seeing things in the clouds and having someone see it too. Sparrows bathing in puddles. The smell of freshly mowed grass. Having someone to scratch my back when it itches. Soft kisses. Big warm hugs. A dance partner. Getting dizzy spinning on office chairs. Rolling down big grassy hills. Campfires and campfire stories. Getting a bouquet of Shasta daisies. The way my kids' hair smells when the sun warms it up. Cats purring. Dogs putting their heads on your lap. When dogs give you that sad puppy look to get things. When my fish lie about getting fed. Coloring cattails with crayon. Trying to catch the elusive bullfrog and hearing them warn each other in their strange froggy voices. When bands let me have picks and sticks for my rock and roll wall. Looking at my rock and roll wall. Getting a postcard from people on vacation. Artfully applied eyeliner. The smell of vanilla. The touch of a childs hand in yours. Walking into my favorite place and having everyone say hi and you know they are glad you're there. The smell of charcoal on the grill. Leaves turning colors in the fall. Crunching leaves under my feet. New buds on the trees and flowers blooming in the spring. Making snow angels. The sound of snow crunching under my feet. Catching snowflakes and looking at the different patterns and then watching them melt. The smoothness of a snakes skin. Shivers on your skin when a cool breeze hits you after a wonderful lovemaking session. The smell of fresh paint on canvas. Mixing colors on a palette. Watching the look on a childs face when I read them a book. Getting to the end of a really good novel. Finding a movie that makes me feel good at the end. A ladybug crawling on my hand and then flying away. The smell of fresh laundry. The smell of leather. Conquering a fear. Smiling at someone and having them smile back. The first snow of the season when the flakes are so big and everything is quiet. Watching my son play a wicked "metal tambourine" while my daughter dances. Mardi gras beads given without having to show anything off. Silly putty on Sunday comics. The smell of lilacs blooming in the spring. Baby birds fledging for the first time. The way the breeze feels on my face when I am swinging. Fish jumping out of the water and making ripples in it when they land. Getting a call from my Mom. Grey clouds over the ocean. Bugs Bunny cartoons. The way horses noses are soft like velvet. The way my favorite dress hugs my body. A feather lightly caressed on my skin. My favorite boots that are almost worn to the nub. Glittery things. Seeing a shooting star and making a wish on it. Having that wish come true. Blowing out all the candles at once on a birthday cake. Seeing the costumes on Halloween. Christmas songs. Writing your name with a sparkler on the 4th of July. Watching a guitarists fingers when they are making their instrument sing. Watching musicians faces when they are feeling the music way down deep in their bones. Geese flying in V formation. The sound of a Harley. Watching Fred Astaire and Gene Kelly dance in the old movies. Finally finding an instrument I can play. Listening to my daughter sing. Listening to my children laughing together. Finding a caterpillar and watching it evolve into a butterfly. Dandelion stems that curl up in the water. Tall tales. The way hot cocoa warms your body on a cold winters day. Snuggling under a blanket and giggling about silly things. The smell of rain. The way my grandmas cheek is so soft. Watching the way lovers look at each other when they dance. Getting a hug from behind unexpectedly. How frost looks on the trees on a cold winters day. The little seeds in kiwis and their fuzzy little skins. The way coconuts sound when you shake them. Watching the carousel horses going round and round. Getting something good in the mail. Knowing someone actually read this whole thing!! |
