at the top of the pages are causing my browser to lock up. I have had to reopen mingle about 5 times in the last few hours because of it. My cache is empty, so that ain't the problem. I have the newest version of java, so that ain't it, either.

What browser and operating system are you using?

I'm using Windows XP Media, and the normal windoze browser. It happens mostly after I am done checking my email, and slide the mouse upwards to hit the "community" tab, or any other tab..

Thanks for your patience, elwoodsully. As this seems to be a relatively isolated incident, it sounds like it's an issue with your machine. You may want to scam your computer for scumware, if you have not done so in a while. If that does not work, you might want to check to make sure that you have the latest version of Flash.

Explorer, I suppose?
Opera 9.50 and Firefox 2.0.0.17 load everything just fine while Safari 1.3, Camino v0.8.4 and Seamonkey 1.1.11 (haven't tried v2) load the smaller ads as blue rectangles. I don't have the newest, whiz-bang version of each but they're all free downloads, so it might be worth trying different browsers to find one works best. <<<Not affiliated with anybody |
