To whisper those words to me
Hiding behind them, filling my head with lies
My entire world crashing and shattering at my feet
Tired and weary, nothing left to do now but admit defeat
Anger hits hard, first emotion to slam into me
Slipping quickly from anger to devastation, sadness and pain are all I know
Up and down on this whirlwind of emotion anger to sadness
Sadness to anger, plotting my revenge, giving up on revenge knowing it serves no purpose
I will not allow you to break me, I am strong, stronger than you even know or understand
I will survive when the darkness comes as it always does
I will stand once again in the light I will survive
