Well, Fade, I went to this big, all-afternoon open mic at a farm in East Lyme, CT today. It quickly turned into a birthday party. A number of other performers sang "Happy Birthday" to me while onstage, and the farmer's wife made me a chocolate cake. I had a hell of a good time when it was my turn to perform, and they let me sing a few extra songs.
I'm basically a loner - always have been - and between the Mingle thread and the open mic, this is the biggest fuss that's been made over me in as long as I can remember - and yanno - I kinda like it......... |
