Just got back from renn faire. Megobednow.

The renn faire?

It's a Renaissance Festival. Basically a group of people get together to put on demonstrations of period (think Dark Ages) clothing, food, arts and crafts and fighting. Most people go to see the young women in wine wenches' dresses and the Jousting. We saw belly dancers (although the person I was with wouldn't let me stay and watch because it was too close to the food, she was hungry but didn't want to eat there), lots of people in costume. Neither of us had much money, so we didn't look at the merchants too much. I knew some people at the fighting (they have armor on and use bamboo swords) that I met through gaming.

I even took my camera, but didn't get any pictures. I was up way past my bedtime, and a little grouchy, and Myriah wasn't having fun with me. She brightened up whenever someone else popped up although she couldn't be bothered to introduce me. She tells my friend that I follow her around like a stalker, then gets surprised when I don't follow her without an invitation.

We don't have those here..well I've never been to one. Sounds like it would be fun though. I think your "friend" is just a confused little girl.

I'll have to plan better the next time I go. I probably would have done better if I had tried to schedule the days off, so I could have been well rested. We both agreed it would have been more fun with a child there. And having saved up for the Camel rides wouldn't have hurt.

I'm sure there's one in Indiana somewhere. Looks like there's one in Fishers, and one in Fort Wayne, both in October. got that by putting in Indiana Renaissance faire into google.
