lotto numbers , please
you can see the future...please tell me the winning lotto numbers...for tonight!!! mclame voted with bushes 90% of the time nobama voted with his party 97% of the time....when he didn't vote "present" sad to say but if americans vote in Barack... they deserve him... We need change. Enough is enough. McCain = 3 more terms of Bush policies. That would be sad. Like I said, McCain will continue Bush policies - voted with Bush 90% of the time. It's time for a change. This country needs it. It's not about about seeing the future. It's not rocket science. It's common sense. |

Is Obama the ideal candidate? Does he have a long record? No Maybe not, but he is intelligent, cautious, brave, measured, willing to listen and consult experts, self made and committed to taking on the task at hand. On the other hand we have McCain. Yes he has a long record. Of contradiction, wild swings in position, an ugly temper, a record of acting before thinking, he is confused about geography, he cries out against special interests but has a campaign in which the majority of his staff come from special interest lobbies, he voted with Bush 90% of the time but says things are screwed up we need change, during the primaries he swore he would run a campaign based on issues without resorting to negative ads and then he runs ad after ad that are just that, he spoke out about celebrities and then pics an empty unproven cute chick creating a celebrity potential veep, he waves the flag and talks proudly about being a vet yet he has consistently voted against giving veterans the same kind of educational and medical benefits he received, he was part of the Keating five....the list goes on and on and on. So, I am betting on the Obama and the system of checks and balances in this election. It's a better bet I think than McCain who has proven he will align with anyone, say anything and abandon any previously held principle in order to win the election. Well said. That's why Obama went up in the polls yesterday. |

It cracks me up that I keep seeing the same comments about Clinton/Gore/Kerry (during their elections) being brought up about Obama now; changes positions with the wind blowing, shady associations, wants to raise taxes, wants to increase government spending...
The thing is, I don't see where any of that is coming from Obama himself. |

Senator John McCain’s radio interview this week, in which he could not distinguish Spain, or for that matter Europe itself from Latin America has set the international press ablaze: The Guardian (London): calls it “painful” to listen to. I dont think you read the original post please do so and get back to me If the Guardian said this then the reporter must've been on Acid! I read the original post and then I went to the link to hear the supposed gaffe for myself and was shocked when there was no gaffe! I urge everyone reading to listen to the interview under discussion! Regardless of what anybody else says! http://www.smirkingchimp.com/thread/17244

Recently on other foreign issues, McCain seems ever more confused. He repeatedly mixed up Sunni and Shiite, he forgot that Iran is a Shiite country, he claimed Iran was training Sunni terrorists and hosted Al Qaida terrorists, and he was lucky to have Sen. Lieberman nearby to correct him during his recent embarrassing trip.
He called the Czech Republic "Czechoslovakia." He thought that Pakistan and Iraq share a common border and he said the Vladimir Putin was the current president of Germany. All of this in just the last three months. There are many more examples, even more frightening and dismaying. While everyone is entitled to make mistakes, so many basic errors can indicate more serious cognitive problems, especially when many of his actions are becoming strange in other ways. What presidential candidate would offer his wife up for a topless contest at a biker convention, or sing "Bomb-bomb-bomb-Iran?" On at least 5 occasions in the last two months, when asked an unexpected question, this dazed, "deer in the headlights" look crossed his face, and when he finally responded, his answers had nothing to do with the issues raised. On major issues, (abortion, social security, taxes, Iran, Iraq, off-shore drilling, stem cells, just to mention a few) McCain either forgot his previous stances and changed his mind, or he is incapable of recalling positions he held dearly as recently as a year ago. McCain's problem is that he categorically denies ever changing his positions, even when he is shown video and news articles. A growing group of conservatives, moderates, and medically educated are beginning to question his mental status, as similar disturbing events continue to occur. http://www.capitolhillblue.com/cont/node/10656 He sounds like he has dementia to me, like some ageing ww1 vet stumbling over the details of the "Battle of the Somme" |

I know I'll get jumped on by the partisans on the right, but I'm concerned he's becoming unstable. His gaffes on the trail are mounting and one has to wonder if his age, the intense pressure of the race, and even residual effects of his POW captivity is taking its toll. His campaign is definitely keeping him from the press, a far cry from the former "Straight Talk Express."

Whatever. The debates will be revealing. I am going to enjoy those debates. I've said it before somewhere on here, but the Obama/McCain debates aren't even a contest, lets just hope that in our "free" and "open" society that the 3 party candidates get to come with their platforms as well, or it's going to be a bloodbath... It's Joey The Shark Vs. Sarah Baracuda that I'm waiting for. That's gonna be fun to watch. |

I wish I could get in. It's not far from me. McCain had ice cream a few blocks from my house. Found out after the fact. |
