COMMENTS: Not one of these taxes existed 100 years ago and our nation was the most prosperous in the world, had absolutely no national debt had the largest middle class in the world and Mom stayed home to raise the kids. What the hell happened?

And Governments wants more of our money every year - When the Federal Government decreases our Tax's States will often increase Tax's it's a shell game they play with our money. A lot of these Tax’s are back door Tax’s.

Count yourself lucky you don't live in a country with socialized systems. In Germany I paid over 50% of my income straight to income tax. And about a 15% tax on every purchase (including food, water, services, etc...).

I'm no fan of taxes. But honestly, in the US we pay some of the world's lowest taxes by far. Or have up until this point (might be changing soon).

This is the same as a Socialized system. They just don’t take the money out in one lump sum like Germany. If you added up all the Tax's you pay every day throughout the year here ,I bet it would come close to what you paid in Germany.

Time for Revolution but nobody has the stones to start one.

we pay an INCOME tax of an average of 30% while Germany pays 80% England pays 90% in JUST INCOME TAX,, with all the other taxes your talking about,, yes WE pay too much, but socialized medicine will triple our INCOME TAX without affecting any of the others

Socialism will be the death of our country. We must never allow it!

It’s been proven that when Tax’s decrease Americans have more money to invest and put into the economy – this creates jobs, investment and helps Americans achieve a better life style.

The Government robed and bankrupted the social security fund and now they see an even bigger pay day coming if they can get socialized medicine through our door. Imagine how much money they can take from that fund!!

Government waste money every time all the time- are we that dumb?? Do we really want to give them even more of our hard earned money to waste???????????
