Topic: Why? | |

My question/subject is this: why spend a week e-mailing and IMing a person, then make plans to meet, if you're not intending to do so? I'm on this site because I don't drink/drug or smoke, and therefore do not frequent bars. I would really like to meet someone who is attractive to me, hence the need for a visual as per many of these sights. I would never lead someone to believe that I am interested in meeting with them, then set up a time and place, and not show. How rude! How cruel! To hurt someone you know and don't like is not alright either, but to hurt someone you don't even know...well that seems vindictive. Is there anyone out there that has done this, or knows someone who has and can explain why? Maybe there's an explanation that can vindicate such a person? I guess I'm just too gullible, trusting... But, in my defense, my first "date" with a guy from a dating site was wonderful and lasted for 3 months. I guess I thought I could get lucky again. NOT!

Not everyone is that way. Some guys just chicken out or deliberately sabotage a potential relationship simply because they are, in some way, messed up in the head. It's just that simple. Don't judge all men based on the bad behavior of a few. There really are some great guys here.
