The Day had begun
unlike any other way,
the rain was poundng
I decided to stay.

The kitchen was dirty
the sink was piled with dishes,
I had other plans
and would not spoil my wishes.

My lady ly motionless
and I drew to her side,
got an instinct of shock
as my arms suddenly flew to my side.

My mouth opened wide
I knew she was dead,
why didnt God take me
instead?

I called 911
and took her in my arms,
lifeless and cold
dont touch her Id been told.

Memories suddenly flashed
in front of my eyes,
my God,she was gone
what a tragic surprise!

The paramedics arrived
and felt for a sign,
they shook their heads slowly
am sorry Sir,I screamed
she was no longer mine.

BUt as the days passed on
I realized one thing,
she was still in my heart
and helped it to sing.

Time does heal all
and this is so true,
there's a reason for everything
for living,and for you!
