Would you double date in this situation? From any of the 4 positions.

I’ve know this gal for several years now and early on we tried dating,
like 3 times. After the last time we took a long break from one another.
We started talking again cause we have a fantastic friendship, just
can’t mix in intimacy. We both agreed and set those boundaries and have
been great friends since. She’s now dating someone and suggested that if
I get a date we ought to double date.
I’m still scratching my head. What opinions do you have?

As long as you are clear on the boundaries and you are secure in your
feelings that you don't want to go there with her, sounds like double
dating would be okay, but if you have some lingering feelings of maybe
wanting intimacy with her, then I would stay away, would only make
things more awkward.

hummm well i can only speak my thoughts.. if i was your date and knew u
dated her before dont think id dig that mark... and i think too that if
it is your first date with someone a one on one date is best to get to
know each other without the other distractions of the other couple...deb

i think farther down in your dating of someone as u already know each
other then... that would be ok .

like marie said though..... the ties would have to be broken with u and
that gal.. your inner feelings

good point - first date would certinally be out.

The two of us are clear in our emotions, I guess three times was enough
to clear that up.

my take on double date is keep your date with you cause i might take
both of the ladies home with me if you dont.

but if u are interested enough in the person u are dating.... u need to
think of the feelings of the impact it may be with the new gal..

if you have an awesome friendship- yes I would double date.
