I saw him in an instant
as he quickly passed on,
and knew it was his time
as he no longer could respond.

I gently took his hand
as limp as it was,
and whispered to his heart
I love you Dad,becuase!

You treated me with tenderness
you treated me right,
although you never spoke those words
you made my world seem bright.

I took you for granted
as we all seem to do,
but the fatal day came,
as we all face the same.

And as always in a flash
you were no here,
the shock was overwhelmng
and caused me panic and fear.

But God came gently to me
and held me oh so tight,
and comforted me every night
helps me feel so allright.
