They just put Alex Smith's lil girly @ss on IR, so we sign Jamie Martin??? Why not sign some rookie free agent instead of some dude that's gonna retire next year? I don't get it. QB is just about our weakest spot, so why not get some young dude that's hungry and wants to prove themselves? Freakin A.......even with Mike Martz's offense installed we still need a QB that's gonna be worth a sh*t.

I can't argue that they suck dude, for real! LOL Our rivalry is nothin like it used to be cuz yall actually make it to the playoffs. Ever since we signed Dennis Erickson as our coach we've sucked @ss.

Problem with the 49ers is that they took Smith, who really wasn't ready to jump right into the NFL and play, and he had to learn on the job with crappy talent around him. Plus, the O-Line has never been all that good in his tenure their, and he has had injury problems. I know that the Niners wish they had taken Rodgers number one, but I also think Rodgers needed to sit and learn the way he did. Now, he is in Green Bay and he looks like he is in command of that offense. Gore and Wells, if they stay healthy, are great weapons. But the Niners need more.

If you look back at past drafts, their have been more busts for the Niners than their have been successes. Gore and Willis were hits. But (and you can add Smith here) the majority have been busts. When you draft badly, or injuries come into play, then your franchise suffers. Nolan isn't a bad coach. He just isn't getting the most from his draft picks.

very true. Gore has been the main bright point in our offense since he took over at RB (thank god cuz Barlow sucked) and Vernon Davis has shown flashes of bein good, we just can't get the ball to him enough.

Oh, and for justwannasayhi, the 49ers are a professional football team, though I think many college teams could beat them.

Rookie free agent??? There's a reason why he would be a free agent and, let's say O'Sullivan gets injured, then you'd have to put all your hopes in the hand of someone who couldn't even make the practice squad.

Hmmm...I think history has shown, that Martz simply inherited a very good Rams team. But, to each his own, it is what it is. This is comparable to Billick's situation/experinces.
