good evening and good night, just stopping by to say hi before i head to bed! oh and suz if you see this... his teacher is going to refer us to the schools social worker, said she will be able to work with us to help him adjust better! She also had a great report for him, he's doing great in class and is no longer refusing to do his assignments. AND... 2 boys showed up at the door tonight to see if he could come out and play, so now he has friend in the neighborhood to occupy some of his boredom! woohoo! I had a half hour to myself tonight to get some things done! yippee! (((AJ)))) that's great! Sounds like things are coming together, woo hoo! Just keep doing what you're doing and doing the best you can, that's all you can do. Poor little guy needs a lot of love and patience right now, and you'll get through this. LOL after I wrote this, he told me he hates me and wishes that i would die! LOL I gotta laugh, otherwise I might kill em! What a roller coaster life is right now! HAHA!

Oh, just about all kids say that at one point or another, doesn't mean anything. The best thing to do there is just not even respond.

all i said was ok. Yeah, that one works too. Mostly, they're looking for a reaction. Ignoring or something neutral takes the wind out of their sails. Doesn't mean they'll stop saying it but it lets them get emotion out and at the same time, they know they can count on you to remain "adult". Welcome to mommyhood!

My son's only said it a couple of times, he knows it doesn't get much reaction from me. He does, however, tell me he's gonna run away on a pretty regular basis. I just tell him I'll miss him and to pack appropriately. Really pisses him off
