Why is it that when there is a tread with an interesting topic
for example ( I need help) some people crash the tread and shange the topic, totally talking about other things that have nothing to do with the topic, and when you read the tread is a totally different subject,,,, I can't front I have done it, but I think is rude to do it. like I said specially when someone is asking a serious question and somebody turns the tread in to a joke!!! can anyone tell me why this is happening? |

Hijacking is quite common in threaded topics. One must consider though
that during face-to-face discourse, the topic evolves and changes from one to another. It is natural for internet conversation to follow suit. Hope that helps! V. |

I agree with Lady. This happens when it's a one-on-one conversation;
it's BOUND to happen when you have many many people joining in a conversation. |

and what about when someone is going trough something and is asking for
help, is it okay to make a joke out of their tread? |

Certainly during more serious topics, like the example given by
yourself, we must be mindful of that person's feelings and on stay on topic. I am sorry if I implied that it was always ok to stray off of the original subject in such an instance. I simply meant that such meanderings are part of normal conversation. :) V |

Morena, I do not believe that it is ok to make a joke out of a serious
issue. Sorry, I guess I may have missed your point the first time. |
