My brain won’t quit,
I think my heads going to split!
How do I stop this sh!t!

I lie awake at night
Dreams far from sight
Welcome to my plight.

I think of you and me
And what it use to be
Now it is only me

I think of my career
Of which way to steer
But no answer is clear.

I think of the life we planned
With us growing old, holding hands
When one day, kids called us ‘grands’

But now this has all gone away
My life’s boat has drifted astray
And I no longer have a course to stay

So now even though is seems strange
I know my course I have to change
But I won’t settle for the closest
Island in range.
