I have and will again spank my kids if they deserve it. There are times when they simply will not listen to any other means of punishment. It used to be done at school in the principals office too, and you didn't see any kids coming out with "bad self esteem" issues. IMHO that's why some kids run wild....because parents are losing the ability to parent their own children. How far will we go letting our rights being stripped away? Will our kids be raising themselves in the future? I also still use the phrase "because I said so".....it's not always about reasoning and compromise. I'm the parent, that's why!
