I've been told in the past that the lies were told to 'protect' me, to 'keep from hurting' me & because there was 'really no need for me to hear the truth'. It doesn't matter why people lie. It doesn't matter what people lie about. Without honesty there is no real connection with another person. I'm sorry someone has lied to you.
