it's kinda like comparing Football to Rugby.if you put a Rugby player in pads and put them under football rules, they'll get their @$$ kicked.if you take away the pads and put a football player under Rugby rules, the same thing is gonna happen....

I fought a boxer he hit me three times in the face and he didn't have enough power to knock me out so tap out time ! The thing with boxing is unless hit the guy perfectly and you have enough speed, power and chance if he is good with ground game he will apply a takedown and submit with ease a boxer

to get to the bottom MMA in the last 8years has grown more then boxing in its entire span. U may argue boxing is the best but when u ask anyone who is from the ages 15 ^ they know who the champs are or atleast 1 champ in the UFC, does that go for boxing? no. thers so manny boxers and half of them are all the same, think about it if u master the art of boxing where can you go from there? u have speed power and timeing thats as good as you will ever get and the chance of another boxer getting to that level is very high. MMA is broken down and it is a constant learning expierence because you have so manny different aspects to learn. and to go with that boxing is more danger lol look at all the old boxers, half stupid atleast MMA orgs takes care of there fighters, no fighters punch drunk, multiple concusions or head trauma.

in 10 years boxing will be over, its not the alpha sport anymore

Trevor Berbick (ended the greatest, Muhammad Alis carrer) Larry Holmes, Michael Spinks, Razor Rud****, Carl "the Truth" Williams, Frank Bruno, Pinklon Thomas, Bruce Seldon, Henry Tillman,Tony Tubbs, Terrel Biggs.....Thats more than 3...I WIN

Dude, you'd be awesome at Trivia Pursuit! Holmes was the Beneficiary of a dead division after all the Good Boxers left; but Sphinx putting on weight to take the Heavy Weight division pretty much showed it. Although Sphinx was a Damn good CRUISER Weight Champion but congrats on naming the Campbells Tomato Soup Can line up of Nobody's and Has-Beens that Tyson beat...

Mike Tyson had the best timing the heavyweights had ever seen...in that aspect even better than Ali's and he could hit alot harder than Muhammad. It was Ali's belief in the idea "Im gonna hit u and ure not gonna hit me" is what made him Great!! There had never been a heavyweight move like that, and we will prob never see that ever again. But Tyson's style never has longevity and he is not stable mentally, so that is why we say such a fast Burnout

Obviously you're one of the people that bought into the Hype that Don King was selling; Yeah Tyson really looked good beating those chumps. Tyson was actually scheduled to fight my Grand mother too, But Don King stiffed her on the purse so she backed out (they got Tony the Tooth to fill in on short notice)

About Tyson being a harder hitter than Ali...pffft..laugh

Follow this:

Lennox Lewis beat Tyson like a Rented Mule
Shannon Briggs after dropping Lewis three times to the canvas winded himself and lost to Lewis in the 4th or 5th round. After the fight Briggs made it a point to say in his interview that Lewis punching power wasn't in the same category as a 53 year old Big George Foreman. (Briggs was gifted the Heavy Weight belt by the Boxing hierarchy after winning one round and tie'n two rounds in a fight that went the distance). Foreman was known as the hardest hitter of the 70's (and possibly of all time) Where Ali was on THAT list of heavy hitters when Foreman was a BEAST!

Sorry, I don't buy Don Kings Hype that Tyson was one of the Greatest (or even that good) and I don't buy the Hype that he was in the league of the 70's Hard Hitters. It's too damn easy to beat down a Tomato Can and it skews how good Tyson actually was or Hit!

The hardest hitter the sport had of boxing has ever seen wasnt George, Sonny Liston had more power in his Left hand that George does in either of his. Man, that prize has to go to Earnie Shavers, "that man could knock Paint off a 56 Buick with his right hand"! (quote from Muhammad Ali). Ali fought both, George in 74 and Shavers in 77, and even he said that shavers was the hardest hitter he had ever faced. That says somethin if you look at Muhammads record. I mean, Archie Moore, Henry Cooper, Sonny Liston, Clevland Williams(Muhammads Best Night as a boxer) Ken Norton, Joe Frazier, George FOreman, Ron Lyle... the list goes on, comin from Muhammad, that has to say somethin
