Sounds a bit over my head!!

I am a soon to be out of work factory worker. Where I work at has given us a 60 day warn act notice. Permantely laid-off on Oct.24th.
I`m sure that they will close the plant by New Years Day.


We manufacture auto part silencing devices. The department I work in we make the dash insulators for the GM Suv`s and trucks.

I am what would be considered a "utility man". I have to know how to do every job in the department.

As for right now, I`m ridin the storm out till the end comes crashing down. After that. I don`t know. But I do know this. God will place me in a job where he wants me to be at. This is my fourth job lost to factorys and stores closing. Like I said, God will take care of me. He always has, He always will.

No, i work with subscribers who have problems with the paper i.e. editorials, news stories, deliveries, etc and try to keep them on as subsciberss. I am also the head of our new recycling program.

Sounds like a cool job!

I work in accounting / consulting for a large consulting firm. We do financial accounting for a large oil and gas company. It's mostly been offshored and the remainder will be shortly. I head to India later this month actually. But I'm grateful to have a job - that's for sure.

Now that does really sound like a cool job, and im guessin its fairly well paid?

I am a surgical technician. Which is a scrub nurse in the surgery room. I want to go back to school and do something else. Maybe careflight. I also work at an assistant living center for alzheimers. I seem to get too emotionaly involved in the people who live there.

It means I get to work with crazy sales people all day.

U got 2 real important worthwhile jobs there.

i work right now with my moms in home daycare

but soon i will be working in a hospital as a labor and delivery nurse.

Sometimes I just want to be a mom!!I miss my kids. I work three days on, four days off but i feel so tired all the time. I would trade my job for the time i have lost with my kids.

I am a medical transcriptionist, work at the local hospital. Just managed to land a part-time 2nd job for a clinic too (I hope).

I am glad.......and yea there are some really great peeps here.

Well at times I have quite a few "jobs"...but Im not in my career YET. When I'm finished with grad school I will be a psychologist and specialist in school counselling.

But now I am a full time mom.

I have an art business I started in college. (Mostly oil painting murals and family portraits...some sign painting & auto lettering)

I, otherwise work at a high school. I'm in charge of the theatre arts program. Which means I do the drama club, I direct the one act play (competative program), I direct the multi-act play (non-comp), and I am the Head Speech Coach.
I love this job and hope to still help the speech/debate & theatre department even after become a doctor ...either on a volunteer basis, or help funding through charity monies.

The 3 months I am not in school or working at the high school I keep money coming in by my art business and "daycare" watching neighbor kids a few days a week. Summer is my slacker period...its like my looong well deserved vacation!
