You can try antiinflammatories, like ibuprofen or Advil or Aleve to see if they help. They will help some with tendonitis. A brace will help with carpal tunnel, wear it to bed at night and off and on during the day, you want to continue to use range of motion to the wrist, wearing a brace constantly can make your wrist stiff. Ice packs can help with the pain if there is any. But changing positions and how you hold things is helpful too, as someone said above.

And, you do NOT want Raynaud's Phenomenon - not good. Is when the capillaries shut down to the fingers and toes, etc., affecting the blood circulation and they turn white and blue in the cold, really painful. My girlfriend has it and has had to have some toes amputated because of it. She got hers by getting some frostbite when she was young.

Good luck, now check with your doctor. Take care.

i was kidding about the Raynaud's comment, and sorry to hear of your girlfriend! i haven't even thought to take some Aleve but i will and i'm also getting a brace tomorrow so hopefully this will subside. thanks!!

Hope it works.

I know you were kidding about Raynaud's, just didn't know if you knew what it really was.

Have a good night. Take care.

I had a pinched nerve in my shoulder and it would feel hot. And the same fingers were numb. I had to have surgery. Quick recovery and have not had a problem since.

There are simple exercises that can be to stretch out your wrist & keep it lose. Here's 1 link

This can help the pain & numbness, but you should also be sure that your computer is ergonomically set up. Don't be too quick to go for surgery. Carpal tunnel surgery is one of the most common unnecessary surgeries done (I just finished working on a research project on unnecessary surgeries, so I know.) Anti-inflammatories may be needed in addition to the exercises for a while. Hope this helps.
