Reading you all's posts sure brings back a lot of memories. The first days of middle school my husband always took off work and we had a little Honeyingmoon brunch because my kids were his "instant" family. LOL one year when I was sick he was "Home-room Mom". Remember the nervous stomache wondering how all the new transitions were going to go for our "special" child. Sometimes it was great and sometimes you felt like you were fighting the wholeo school board. I found getting on the school routine a week or so early was one of my better ideas. I had foster kids so they didn't have any in's in the cliques. So was keeping the idea of bedtime as they got older. A tired over scheduled kid/mom is a fight waiting to happen. Taking away the TV is a smart idea and so is putting the cell phones in the living room with the comuter. I kind of have my heart in my throat now because my Grandson is having a rough way to go. It is because Mom is trying to replay some of her old school issues. Have to stay out of it and let her learn from their consequences but I feel bad when I know they will take it out on Him. You have to let some things go; especially battles with teachers. I thought I would go back to school this year. LOL I may be 70 by the time I graduate. Now that will be a graduation party! Can you mix Purple Passion in prune juice? Hugs to all. |
