Topic: Potty training? | |

When do you think it is a good time to start potty training with a toddler? My daughter is 16 months old and I want to try, but I don't want to try too early. I think she may be ready, because everytime she fills her diaper...she takes it off right away. Is this too early? Any tips?

I work as a preschool teacher... generally by the time your child reaches a year old is a good time to start potty training. that's not saying your child should be potty trained by a year, but that it is a good time to start. 16 months is a good time as well. It's also variable on your child's development as well. Most children do begin potty training by 1 yr to 1 1/2 yrs. Hope this helps.

thats a bit to early, i knew a girl in school that was training her daughter at 6months, and of course daycare wouldnt allow her in there untill she put the child back in a diaper. you cant train a 6month old..
my granddaughter is 2/2yrs old and she not even totally potty trained yet |

What did she do carry her baby everytime and hold her over the potty? I don't think my kids were even walking at 6 months. |
