Limbo is the name for a particular predating stage that I happen to be in right now that I have always hated. So I met this girl, we work at the same place, but not together (over 4k people where I work.) We met at a social even sponsored by our work and the next week she saw me around and we started talking. Asked her what her plans were this weekend said she wasnt sure but gave me her last name and asked me to add her to company IM so we could talk more. Long story short, I invited her to another social even, she gave a maybe and later told me she wasnt sure because she was supposed to do things with some friends. She didn't show.

The limbo is if she is telling the truth and had plans, or is just nice and couldn't say no. I have experience both. Had a girl claim she lost her phone on me and I took it as a hint.. later I found out she really lost it and was interested, but she just meet someone else(this was a few months later).

Was gonna ask her out again the next day but she took the day off. So now I get the 3 day weekend to not know lol.

Just go with as she really is busy and or not ready to go out just yet. Maybe she wants to talk a little more. Give her a little time ans see what happens. And keep looking around untill you have a reason not to.

Thats the plan. Yesterday when I was gonna ask her out I wasn't gonna except a maybe. I was gonna lay it on the line and say if are busy then tell me a time you are free, if you are not interested tell me and it wont hurt my feelings. To tell the truth, we both moved from across the country to start our jobs and I came across some knowledge that someone is coming to visit her this weekend. (she has been here 2 weeks, I have been here 3) I dont know if this person is a relative or friend or bf.

I just like knowing if its something worth perusing or not. I don't like waiting to find out lol.

Limbo pretty well describes it for me too. You think you have something with someone then hit a brick wall. Or you like them and then ummmmm not so much because something they say or do sets off all your alarms. So you back peddle or out and out run. ~sigh~ good thing patience is a virtue.....
