Oh sure. Blame me.

You're the one who was so easy to manipulate.

All you had to do was say no.

But no, you had to go along with it! devil

What kind of god would you be?

Fire and brimstone...?

Death and destruction...?

Non interfering...?

Interfering...?

would you throw lightning bolts and tantrums at non believers...?

or ...?

I already am god..... a part of the all... no separation...

And I do what I do, to walk a gentle path, with a lighter footprint.

That's an interesting thought Jess. But you know, in some ways, the idea of leaving a light footprint might not be the best idea. It can sometimes backfire to the whole 'purpose' of life.

I think what I'm trying to say is that I too try to leave a light footprint (although maybe not on the forums laugh )

But in life in general I try to leave a light footprint by not becoming 'involved'.

But maybe that's the wrong thing to do. Maybe it's better to make an impression on life, and on others. Maybe the point isn't not to avoid leavintg a footprint, but rather to live a positive footprint.

In fact, leaving a positive footprint so deep and so profound that one one can ignore it might be the best possible thing anyone can do.

One thing that has been bothering me lately is that I have been so determined not to leave a footprint that I've basically become a hermit and non-interactive with the world in general.

However, that also leads to a desire to just 'disapear'. after all, if the idea is to not leave a footprint the best way to accomplish that is to simply not exist at all. Then there will be no feet to leave prints. bigsmile

But what would be the purpose to life, if the purpose was to avoid having any affect on it?

Maybe trying to contributing positive affects would be a more worthy purpose?

But then we run into trouble. I may think that a 'positive' affect would be to help lead people away from superstition and myth. A religious person might feel just the opposite trying to convince people that believing in superstition and myth is the only way to go!

Maybe we're both wrong!

Maybe neither of us should be trying to convince anyone of anything. Maybe we should just live our own lives as 'examples' of how we feel life should best be lived.

However, then we come to the idea of leaving a "footprint".

How can you be an "example" if you don't leave "footprints" for others to observe?

So maybe the idea is to leave positive footprints, rather than to try to be invisible?

Being invisible serves no purpose at all.

I have just recently been thinking about becoming more 'highly visible' and leaving more profound but positive footprints in life. Not by trying to tell others what to believe or not believe, but simply by being an example of how life can be best enjoyed in a way that is positive for everyone.

if one was God they would have two options ...make everyone a God or just hang around threatening people and watching them suffer because they are not Gods but you are

James, when leaving an imprint, or a footprint... as such... my intent is to tread gently, anywhere, whilst in this body.

Sometimes the softest breeze is remembered long after the hurricane...

It is not my job to decide what kind of impact I have on this lifetime's journey... that will happen long after this physical frame is fish food...

It is my job to be the silent observer of myself, and to be proactive in my being human. It is not my role/job to be a bulldozer and to aggressively assert my insights, or my behaviours on anyone, (including these people who call me mum)...

The essence of me, the who of me, is taken on, by others, BY THEIR CHOICE....

I have to walk my talk, James, and I am as inconsequential as a passing thought, and possibly as mighty an impact as a meteorite... who knows?

Surely, it is not for me to decide...

Hence the lighter footprint...(even the new trendy label of carbon footprint)
