are so gullible to allow themselves to be the victims of "marriage trapping"?

cause we get tired of the woman hinting they want to get married so we foolishly break down and ask the question.

cuz they think with their wedding tackle, that's why. i call it "p#ssy stupidity"- they're gettin' it (nightly, in some cases), which results in a distinct lack of blood going to the brain. when the marriage thing is brought up, common sense goes out the window and the fella will foolishly reply "why yes... yes i DO wanna get married!...". the result? the fool is walking down the aisle some several months later with a shotgun firmly pointed at his back.

the trap has therefore been set.

define marriage trapping

it defines itself, to be trapped into a marriage

I think, for me, it was a response to the almost entirely-subliminal pressure to conform with the "norm" -- i.e., there's a kind of expectation that a "normal" guy will get married, have kids, blah blah blah --

Going into the marriage, I had all kinds of qualms and bad feelings about it, but I pushed them aside, thinking "Maybe this is exactly what I need, to settle down, to be more stable" -- this after years of frivolous, short-term fun flings....

Well, I learned -- you do something stupid, you pay for it, eventually -- and I would never do it again. If anything, the experience taught me how totally unsuited I am for any sort of traditional relationship arrangement....

I know a couple that decided they were married after the insurance company told them they'd get a discount on their car insurance.
