As I sit alone, by myself this night,
I close my eyes and wish with all my might, For there to be someone beside me here, Someone to take in my arms, someone who loves and cares. She's out there somewhere, with silky skin and eyes of blue, Responsible and independent, with a spirit that's honest and true. She has a gentle touch and loves me for who I am, And she has a little meat on her bones, the same way that I like my ham. She is none to gaudy in her choice of wears, And she welcomes all the love I have in my heart to share. She welcomes it and returns it, that's how we know it's true, I am thine and thy are mine, you for me and me for you. Her family will be as perfect as she is for me, For when a man loves a woman he must also love her family. They will be funny and quirky and sleep Sundays until noon, They will welcome me and my kin as their kin anew. Enough about them, back to her and her romantic heart, She'll love snuggling and passion, theatre and art. She, like I, will approach life with an open mind, Someday, my love, each other we will find. -Mason Slater |
