Drowning in confusion
Shadowed by the past

A tiny ray of hope in this cold selfish world
Sadness may always have a presence in the memories we share

First there was blinding anger
Soon denial took its turn
And when it did I almost fell
He caught me just in time
And now not too far of in the distance
I can see acceptance...
He is gone and forever will be

He's been shoving me through the darkness
Frantically trying to find the light himself
And still he is the unbreakable rock
When the tide is too high
And it seems this time I may drown
His courage is so admirable,
I lost my heart and soul
He lost a best friend
Yet never once has he decided to give in.
