Are you a vegetarian? If so, why did you choose to become a vegetarian. I practice the diet for the environment and for myself. I can't stand the taste of meat. Do vegetarians really taste better? I read that somewhere and was a bit confused.

i'm not a vegetarian but i have had a vegetarian diet
at times in my life. i did it because i had vegetarian roomates and i like vegetarian food. i believe that it can be very nutritious and healthy but i don't think it alters the way the taste buds work. although eating spicy food does! |

i couldn't be a vegetarian, but i respect the people who are. more power to them. although when i do go out and eat with one, i will order just a salad and be happy with it.

It's all about your personal preference. I like veggies, although i couldn't do without meat. Kinda born and raised that way . There are advantages to the vegetarian diet though, which should be considered by anyone that has blood pressure or cholesterol problems. It really has no effects on your taste buds. And to anyone that is already healthy moderation is key. Your body needs sugar, protein, fat and calories. Just not to the extent that it is available to us today. The reason we have such cravings is because all these high caloric/sugary foods were in short supply many many years ago. Our cravings just haven't evolved yet.
