You've been faced with many challenges
Whether it be being born with cerebral palsy, being unable to walk
Losing the best friend you ever had as a POW in this senseless war
To opening your heart again afterwards, only to be hurt
You've faced each hurdle with tremendous strength and courage
Giving it all you have, dealing the best you know how

It hasn't been easy, but you've done it time and again
Many times you could have given up, and accepted your fate
But you've fought on refusing to quit
Not willing to go down without a fight

As the saying goes
Whatever does not kill you will only make you stronger
You more then anyone else I know epitomizes this statement
After all you've been through, how could it not

You've persevered before
And you'll persevere again
To me, you will always be forever strong.
