Even though the Temptations were a "singing group" they had a "house band" backing them.

Back in the day they were considered a "Rock Band" and a "Soul Group".

Music is music no matter if a "Rock band "does it or not.

So in my humble opinion, yes The Temptations are a Rock Band.
