having funky weather storms in their area...we are getting hit with thunder and lightening storms since last night

We had some nasty storms roll through this afternoon but all clear now.

Got soaking wet Sat. night on kayak trip. Rain again tonight and my bedroom window was open, many books got damp. I've had enough for a while.

we are suppose to be getting more tonight...saw the lightning forking today...is it true that you can tell how far a storm is by counting the seconds between the lightening and thunder? what's the worst storm you ever been in and what did you do?

1979? Ft. Collins Colo. Softball sized hail, 3 people killed. Estamated speed of hail stones 100-110 miles per hour. We stayed inside. Seen a couple small tornados.
