Why do some people lie about their age?

I have met men that told me they were a certain age then after getting to know them I find out that they are a lot younger than they said or a lot older than previously mentioned.

Don't they realize, that if you're around them long enough the truth will be revealed?

(I'm not picking on the men, I have guy friends that this has happened to also.)

Sounds dumb to me. They must just want to score with a hot older gal and aren't thinking about a future. Then, you charm the living crap out of them, they are under your spell, they want you forever and always, so their idea to just score goes by the wayside. You are forever!!! But, alas, the truth is inadvertently revealed as they forgot they lied. Thus, you crush their heart and their future all because they were a lying sack of crap in the first place. THEY NEVER DESERVED YOU OR YOUR HEART!!!

Hmm.. not sure, I have never lied about my age to anyone. I don't see a reason why anyone would feel they had to lie?

Age isn't a big deal but many are afraid of getting old and then stigma that they place on it. Billy Joel said only the good die young....based on that I'll probably live to be 500.
