Hello,

I am moving to the Philadelphia area on September 1st. I am relocating because of a promotion at my job. I could use some advice on which suburb I should move into. I want to rent for a few months before I get a home.I would also like to be 30 - 40 min from the airport but away from the citys crime problem. I would really appreciate any advice given. Thanks.

Welcome hinky. I'm from the other side of Pa., so I can't help you with what area of Phila. to move to, but if you post your question on the Pa. forum, you may get some insight.

If I could afford it, I'd be living in New Hope, PA. Beautiful, artsy, relaxing.........

ahhhhhhhhhh ... Hippy-ville.

I would go to West Chester. There are smokin' women there.

OOOOOOOOOPS

I'm not supposed to flirt.

Hey SK! Cute hair. flowerforyou

No matter where you go in Philly there is some sort of crime...but the best area for living is the North of Philly.........south Philly is full of crime (but close to the airport). along Rte 1A is a good area too (it's sort of the corridor to central Philly. Good Luck with the move. Lived there for awhile but couldn't handle the big city.

Seriously though, live in Jersey over the bridge. Cherry Hill is nice but a tad of a commute ... or Marlton.

I agree Jersey is a good place, might be a bit more expensive but hell everything is expensive anymore

I hear NJ is nice these days. Growing up in Detroit I always herd NJ was a toxic waste dump.
Well, now Detroit is a burned out husk of what it once was. I work for Delta Airlines and I guess NJ would be closer to the airport. Do they have trains that run across the river to the airport? Oh..and thanks for the reply. Keep them coming.

My nephew was married in New Hope last fall, where his wife is from...absolutely beautiful area!
What a cool place to say your wedding vows...New Hope.

Anywhere around Philly is beautiful, Bucks Co, I don't know about living where around there is best though since I just pass through.
However, I stayed at this incredible miniature pig farm B&B last time that could I see myself living on.

There are beautiful areas in NJ too, and just like most every other state some horrid areas. But the beauty of NJ astounded me.
Check with your employer, local chamber of commerces, there has to be a 'relocating to Philly' type website somewhere....

Flirting gets me in trouble. Maybe a weekend at the mini-pig farm B&B will help me relax.

Hey Lookin!' Need help moisturizing today? flowerforyou I think you have a blemish there baby.

The B&B was great, fresh bacon for breakfast...
yeah, they added that little mistake to our bill.grumble

Actually, the inside of a banana peel works great to dry any blemishes right up! Thanks though!
