imho, metallica lost thier balls when cliff died. startin w/ and justice for all they started a downward spiral that continues today.

definatly. when i saw clash of the titans, during the first solo in hanger 18 marty snapped his hi e and dave picked it up about 4 notes later. it was f**kin awsome

You can't really blame metalica for therLack of banging head off concretness since the new relationship with the new bassist. But the heart of Metalilica will never fade. Enter sandman still my fave.

do u mean jason newsted? he came over from a band called flotsam and jetsam. listen to their first 2 albums doomsday for the deciever and no place for disgrace. both albums rock and he wrote most of the music and a lot of the lyrics.
the change in style wasn't because of newsted. cliff heavily influenced the direction the band was taking and w/o him they went the direction james and lars wanted. newstead barley does any writeing for them.
i'm glad u enjoy the new sh1t and if they inspire u, great. i just won't listen to it.

Ozzy's old bass player is good. I likem better than Jason. Still Cliff played bass like hendricks on the guitar or somthing. to bad the egos are so big. but there would be no mega death if mustaine had stayed. so all is cool.
