Topic: Take Back the Light | |
---|---|
Let me take it all back All my love that I gave you Return it to my door step And leave your key there too Yes I want it all back All the beer and all the sex All of our late night talks And the buckets of my sweat You are with her these days So let me let you go I’d strangle you if I were her But I assume she doesn’t know That your heart has two faces And one of them is mine I bet she wonders what you’re thinking From time to time Do you stumble on your words Do you bite your tongue Do you tell her you’re just tired And that she’s the only one? Well my love’s a precious stone But I’m an Indian giver I’ll take the blanket off your back Just to watch you shiver Cause you don’t deserve eternity And you don’t deserve her nor me And I say this all regretfully And you will be the death of me You don’t deserve my patience Blossoming through the night You’ve kept me in the dark Let me take back the light |

I have felt this, the same as you.
And it hurts to be used. But our light will forever shine brighter than theirs. Because OUR LIGHTS "START" in our HEARTS! Here's to getting over,,,,,,NOTHING really,wink.. Beautiful words and poem, thank you! |

Very nice, if only we could get back the love we give...lol Just think of it as a gift given freely with no strings attached and let go.
