This is in regards to mutual matching.

I’ve read about it and thought well it’s worth trying. Although, I am a little confused. On my home page it says Mutual Matches and under that it says… Mutual Matches are people you want to meet that also want to meet you. This is where I get lost. In that box it says… 1 person said they want to meet you. It doesn’t say who mutual matched me back. I went through and clicked more then one. Thus, I have no idea who clicked me back. So, thinking clicking the link “View all my Mutual Matches” would help I realize that just brings me to a screen saying… you currently have no matches.

If anyone understands my confusing or knows why this is… please say so!

It's just a scam to make you do it.

When you want to match on someone and then later you see thier picture then you know they are real.bigsmile

if you and the other person both say yes then it will show up as a match.

And then days, weeks, months pass and nothing happens just say no!

So true! I don't use it at all.

A big problem of "mutual match" is that you think you're clicking (yes, no, or maybe) on someone who has already said they want to meet you. This is not always the case. Technically, when you see a "match" saying "this person wants to meet you," it means that the site wants you to check out this person's profile... that they match your search criteria... and that you might like them. They are suggested matches. If you click Maybe or Yes to one of these, then they are asked whether or not they'd like to meet you. If they click Yes or Maybe, then they will show up in your New Matches section.

If they show up in your new matches, it means you have a mutual attraction, and you should write them. Make sure your settings will allow whatever criteria they have on their page, or else they won't be able to respond.

Good luck if you do use it... hope this helped! flowerforyou

EtherealEmbers is correct in stating that another user will only show up in your Your Matches section if both of you choose "Yes" or "Maybe".

One correction I'd like to make, however, is that you do not have to be concerned about your settings if you are using Mingle2 (as opposed to JustSayHi). On Mingle2, we have made it so that you do not have to worry about your Friends' or Mutual Matches' settings.

Here are the Mutual Match FAQs, by the way:
