Spill it, spill your guts
Give away your deepest darkest secrets Lay it all out on the table Expecting not to be judged nor despised Bare your soul, whisper of all of your fears Go back through all of those darkest years Complete trust given Asking simply to be loved for who and what you are All the while you shake in fright Expecting him to turn and run into the night Shocked and surprised when he stayed His soft whispers filling your ear "It doesn't matter baby, that was then You and I are now" His hand holding on to yours so tight As he gets down on his knee Asking you to be his wife "I'm just a simple man, nothing more nothing less please baby just grant me this one request Spend your life with me, please baby just say yes Won't you please baby be my wife" |
