This article has been plagiarized from an email that's been circulating for a couple of years. You can find it on
http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/foster.asp

The original person who started it was Doug Patton, a freelance columnist and political speechwriter. The email has been around since 2005.

Its full of quite a few inaccuracies and ommissions too.
Why would anyone send this out or post it unless they meant to mislead people.

Perhaps they are not aware of the inaccuracies or propaganda nature of it, or,
Perhaps they are and just dont care.

As I stated this was sent to me in an email, I copied and pasted it. If there are ommissions and inaccuracies, they are not on my part.

I did not post it to mislead anyone, thank you very much. I want to see peoples opinions on the candidness of the woman who wrote it. It was not ment to be discaring or misleading at all.

I dont believe this women even wrote this, or a private citizen at all.
If she did she was madly uninformed.

Atari,
You believe soldiers are murderers hiding behind a flag? Let me ask you this...Do you enjoy your freedom? I think we should all be extremely grateful to our soldiers past and present for the freedoms we have. JMHO
Yes I do believe that soldiers are murderers hiding behind a flag in protection of their morals.

From the very first day my country was created there was freedom until people with arms invaded. So no, the soldiers (akin to the old invaders) have not encouraged freedom, they simply took it away from us. Freedom was the first day of creation!! It is everyones right to have freedom.
I dont thank people that murder. It was them that destroyed freedom in the first place!!

Where to start with this....

Let's start with Islamic people...it was not The Islamic people who bombed the WTC...it was a group of fanatics. Look around for numerous examples of Christian fanatics. There are no shortage of them so it shouldn't be hard.

Should we care about the torture of Taliban fighters or anyone else in our custody? Yes we should! Do you know why? Because we have agreed by treaty to certain standards of treatment in order to help insure the safety of our captured military personnel. Going to argue that others haven't respected those agreements? Go ahead but once we stop we lose what makes this country great along with the power to negotiate in good faith in future.

You will find mention of Jesus Christ in the Koran. I am not a Muslim nor am I well enough versed in the Koran to get into a theological debate. Christians are considered "people of the book"

The 'insurgents' in Afghanistan were trained, armed and paid by the United States of America in an effort to stick it to Russia when they were in Afghanistan. We created them in many ways. Had we honored our commitment this mess might not have happened. Again, lots of historical evidence that the U.S. just doesn't learn from it's past mistakes.

Zealots...well...Muslims obviously have no corner on that sort of thinking...

Ah, yes, the old appeasement argument.

Not very original, it's an old accusation.

Perhaps you were thinking of Neville Chamberlain?

So does the fact that Bush changed his mind about talking to Iran mean he's also an 'appeaser'? laugh laugh laugh
