Status Report: Spent the last weeks working with ROLM regarding the phone switch and a new PBX with ACD components. However considering the growing push to VOIP, we have adjusted our focus to a standalone ACD using our enhanced FO networking infrastructure to carry both data and voice to the PC, seamlessly and integrating with desktop telcom applications allowing the users' phones to be wherever they are, whether telecommuting from home or over the wi fi at the local Starbucks. Also, using the vendor's open source software and detailed API, we should be able to further intergrate with existing core systems and provide a highly functional ATMS that will take us in to the next decade. There you go. Unless your boss really knows telcom. In which case.... just don't turn one in.
