I do not understand why people request to be other people's friend and
they have never talked to them before. I mean really How could anybody
consider a stranger a friend? I have denied this person 4 times now.

alot of peopel will keep tryign because they wont get an answer. and
they think maybe they are just missing them. but i guess not in your
case, lol. its good you tell them though

It would be just like me walking down the the street and going up to
somebody and saying "Hey let's be friends." It just does not happen that
way. I understand that cyber land is different but you still nedd to act
some what human.

Whisper, I think there are two scenarios here. One is just the
overbearing, self-absorbed, pushy type who can't take no for an answer,
which is what your "four-times-denied-and-still-trying" person sounds
like.

On the other hand -- it's also possible that some people just don't get
that others consider this sort of thing "creepy" -- I mean, if it's a
guy trying to be your friend, maybe he has never had to deal with
strangers trying to get on his friends list; or maybe he has, but just
doesn't see it as intrusive the way you do.

Even so, I think we all need to be aware of the fact that not everyone
wants to be inundated by strangers making friend requests. People who
are too quick or too pushy stand a good chance of making "enemies" out
of potential friends....I personally feel that you have to get to know
someone through posts and emails, at the very least, before a friend
request is appropriate, but that's just me....

That is what I mean Lex. Thank you. It was not even like it was a guy
that was requesting either. And then when I asked them they did not
respond they just requested again. I finally had enough and blocked
them. I do not really like doing that but when people start trying to
push there way in like she is doing it just gets to be annoying and
frustrating.

Whisper,maybe they want to get to know you.If they are being a
nuisance,report them! I have never talked to you but I have read some of
your posts..Id want to be your friend too!

I am fine with them wanting to get to know me. But talk to me first.
Just clicking on a button is not getting to know me. And Nascar you are
somebody I would be friends with.
