My Mother waited on my Dad hand and foot! I mean he would say "I need more coffee" in the evening and she would get up and get it for him. I guess that was that generation, they were older parents, I was a late in life baby. Now, when my husband was living, I would get up to get something and would always check on his glass of tea, or whatever, but the difference was, he did that for me too! And he NEVER asked me to get him something, like I saw my father do. Hell he never even asked for anything when he was sick! I think women are more likely to want to do those things when the man does NOT expect it??

In what way/s do you put your man first!? I used to feel that way, but not any more Why does anyone have to be first in the relationship? You do something for someone because you want to, not because you have to to stroke their ego... Just my 2 cents

The feeling one gets from doing things for the one they love isn't measurable! People say relationships are "give and take". I say, if both are giving, NOBODY needs to take anything.

every way when i feel i am respected and loved That's it exactly Joyce! it's easy when you feel secure and loved to want to place the other person's needs and wants first BINGO...this is the key...when a person feels like they are being taken for granted and not appreciated, they generally will stop doing the little things that mean, "I love you and want to make your life a bit easier".... So, guys...when your woman does special things for you...don't overlook it is a given, that somehow you are deserving...treat it like what it is...an edearment of love.

You are right AGAIN Angel! When she or he does anything like that, say THANK YOU! but leave the thank yous out of the bedroom! Makes us feel like we should send you a bill or something for our time!

I seem to always put their feelings before mine Good girl! Very unselfish but bites us in the @ss at times, too It can, yes. But it still doesn't make me refrain from doing it me, neither...I like my @ss bit, apparently
