She put him in his place
as she watched him drop his face,
went from happy,to sad
then from good,to bad.

He growled with rage
as she made him turn the page,
he thought he had a chance
at a lovely romance
but his chances were doomed
as his depression soon loomed.

To him it was a shock
as he soon stopped his talk,
just felt worthless and void
crowds he then did avoid.

Thought she was his girl
and had so many plans,
but life became reality
as he now understands.
