Why do humans committ such atrocious acts upon our neighbouring species!!

http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20080730/tuk-uk-britain-rspca-fa6b408.html

Why? Why? Why?

Anyone who is cruel to an animal is not capable of love or any good at all!!

I have 3 cats ,2 dogs and 4 ball pythons and I treat them like my kids they are spoiled rotten.

I don't understand how people could hurt an animal.....I would like to have just 5 minutes in a room alone with someone that has hurt an animal I would go Bruce Lee on his ass

As a fisherman, hunter, and farmer I can tell you, not all animals are as bright as your housepets. Some of them taste d**n good.

As you sit there, look at the leather in your shoes and belts. When you eat your lunch, if you aren't eating vegan (and I don't mean vegitarian), your just as bad as me.

Their is a certain truth as to what you speak. but we are talking about mindless cruelty like cutting off a puppy's ears!!

I've been doing animal rescue for almost 36 years now and have seen some ungodly things done just for the sake of entertainment or financial gain, or just plain cruelty. For 2 years while living in the St.Louis area I was a cruelty case inspector- which I had to stop doing because I was one step away from smashing the face of the next perpetrator of senseless cruelty. One thing I know from experience is that these people who treat animals with such heartlessness usually breed like rabbits and don't treat their kids any better than they do the animals. Give me hope for the future.....BTW- if you buy a puppy from a pet store or from a puppy store, you're helping to finance puppy mills and unscrupulous breeders. If anyone wants a purebred puppy, contact me through the site before buying a pup and I'll get you a rescue. I have contacts all over the US so don't let distance stop you, then you can feel good about your adoption!

Hey Cliff, thanks for the heads up on the puppies, I know there are people on here that could use that info.

But once again, as a farm kid, people buy dogs? I thought someone just dropped them off in your lawn, and that's how you got them.

Many rich dumb fu##ks buy designer dogs such as the "labradoodle". These can carry a price of up to $2500.00 and the selling point is that poodles don't shed so you have an unusual dog that is the size of a lab but doesn't shed. If you recall your basic high school biology, the desired traits of the parents are only passed along to 25% of the offspring so instead of saving an animal from euthanasia, for about 60 bucks, you can spend 2500 for a mixed breed dog that may or may not have the trait you desire.....
Btw- my name is Mike and I grew up on a farm too.

There was this one day I witnessed this guy kicking his dog cause it wouldn't do what he asked. So, I walked up to the guy, kicked him, and asked "How do you like it you bastard?" He didn't know what to think, so he just kindly walked away with his dog. Sad thing about this? Their were two cops watching him do it, and I, a citizen, had to intervene.

$2500? For a dog. Crazy in the concept to me, but so is paying $60 when you can find a place with a sign reading "free puppies" in every town. Though paying the vet for the nuetering fee makes 100% sense to me.

Sorry about the name thing Mike, been misreading your profile name for a while (as clfbikedog, hence cliff).

S'all good- Goof, props and beers to you man, if more people had the balss to do something like that less bull**** would occur!
$2500 for a dog, yeah, it's stupid but my experience is that money and brains don't necessarily go hand in hand!
