They who once had scorned my gifts Refused my offerings of song Have come to view a different light Was what I did so wrong? The eyes that see my soul now, shining through Saw my mask alone, days past My essence never came to light Now it speaks, at last Time has healed the wounds of old A new day dawns for us We venture forth together now Without the fight and fuss If you give it time enough And space to heal, it's true The souls that spurned you yesterday Will soon come back to you
