This is my dog Rufus, he has biten someone. He is not (too) mean to the people he loves, but he is part pit bull. They want to take him away, this is actually the 3rd person that he has biten. He's realy very sweet

the fact that you had to put 'too' in parentheses when describing his level of 'meanness' towards those he 'loves' speaks volumes.

question here is how do you treat him...
it's the owner not the dog, yes pits are bred for fighting but i have owned a pit and if you love them not leave them in the back yard then they act right |

I treat him very well. he spends time with my friends and KIDS when I work alot

That's a handsome dog. If he has bitten 3 people I am very surprised you still have him. I used to work for a shelter & animal control, & I have to tell you it dosn't sound good. What were the circumstances? You say he is sweet if he knows you, & he's not too mean. It sounds like you think aggressiveness is ok. If this dog is given another chance I strongly recommend obedience classes with a professional trainer. The judge may require it. I would not leave him alone with kids ever.

ummm..keep him locked up in a pen...
when not in ur presence or puty him down wouldnt take a chance with my kids
